Second Project - Moving, simply organized
After living in a basement suite for the past four years, with a family of three, we have come to the simple conclusion that its just not working. We live in a clutter bound area, and as much as I have tried to simplify and declutter, we still feel closed in.
Here are photos of our basement suite as it is before moving. Of course we had just started packing so the boxes wouldn't normally be there. But, really who wants bikes in the living room. Although its a bright suite with lots of windows, its still very cramped with three couchs.

The entry area is also cramped, no coat closet and hardly any storage area.
My master bedroom serves as my office and make-up area. Not cool!
Although it is a bonus to have your own private laundry in a basement suite, it certainly is not desirable to have that laundry area in your bathroom. The builders did not really have a suite in mind when they built this house.
Once again, storage is a problem. Other than the closets in the bedrooms, there is no place for overflow of laundry, cleaning and personal products.
Mariah's room turned out wonderfully, the only space that is put together. This storage unit to the right of her bed is going to go in our new kitchen, minus the green stickers of course.
Ahhh yes, a teenagers room, but she will make the new place her own. The only drawback is that we won't be able to paint right away this wonderful green. This room is the only space I will miss.
